I am a capable floor layer but I do not yet have a nationally recognised qualification

If you are an experienced, capable floor layer who does not yet have a nationally recognised qualification, we would urge you to act quickly to ensure that you do not get left behind, as most employers, major contractors, local authorities and commercial projects require compliance to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) which requires a floor layer to be qualified at QCF / NVQ Level 2 as a minimum.

What do you need to do ?

  • Following an initial informal chat with one of our staff, we will ask you to complete a self - evaluator describing your experience and ability around various floor laying tasks and techniques.

  • We will then assess your self- evaluator and have a further chat with you about the best way to achieve your qualification

  • You may be ready for immediate on site assessment (no downtime, we come to assess you on site on a real job)

  • You may benefit from a small amount of top up training specifically in weak areas or in job tasks that you rarely undertake. (attend recommended training course then we come to assess you on site on a real job)

  • Speak to your employer about gaining nationally recognised qualifications for you and other staff members.
